Almost done with Proust

I’m only maybe a hundred pages from the end of the sixth book, The Fugitive, and I’m finally getting past the deadly-dull Albertine stuff. And now soon I’ll be onto the sixth! Really looking forward to this. The sixth volume was the one I enjoyed the most last time and understood the least. There’s a hundred page section in it where he attempts to explain the purpose of this project, at least as he sees it, and I remember just completely not understanding anything about it. Something to do with memory? And capturing memory? I dunno.

But my reading comprehension has been much better this time around, and I’m looking forward to finally understanding, at least on some level, what it is I’ve been reading for the last two months.
